Over 250 Tax Office Employees Trained to Answer Election Judge and Voter Questions

Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector & Voter Registrar Ann Harris Bennett announces the commendable effort of over 250 Tax Office employees who have been diligently trained to answer phone calls from election judges and voters on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The Harris County Tax Office, committed to supporting the electoral process, has traditionally assisted the Harris County Clerk’s Office by answering calls during early voting and election day. Tax Office staff will be available to answer phones from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day, providing the necessary support to all Harris County voters and election judges.

“I am proud to share that our dedicated office employees, who have undergone extensive training, are committed to assisting election judges and voters with any questions about the November 5, 2024, General Election. Their commitment will ensure a positive voting experience for all Harris County voters,” Bennett said. “It is a privilege to be part of our nation's democratic process, and my staff knows that our work will positively impact our community.”

Voters may call the following phone numbers to check their voter registration status, locate a vote center, or confirm the acceptable forms of identification on election day:

Voter information is also available at www.harrisvotes.com.

Eligible unregistered voters may register to vote, and registered voters may update their voter record by sending a text with #RegisterHarris to 281-720-3900 but are not eligible to vote in the November 5 General Election.
