All tax office branch locations are open for walk-in property tax payments.

• Appointments are available for the Downtown branch office only. For all other (non-payment) tax services, we encourage you to schedule your appointment beforehand.
• Tax certificates require research before they are issued. It is very important that you submit your research request form first and be notified of the completion of research before scheduling your appointment to pick up the tax certificate. Tax certificates will not be issued at the cashier window for walk-ins.
• If you would like to change your tax billing address, or have questions about your exemptions or property value, please contact the Harris Central Appraisal District. Most HCAD forms, service and resources are available at www.hcad.org or via email at help@hcad.org.
